Finally, I am able to attach a link to my revised Action Research Plan (thank you, Sarah). Unfortunately, I was unable to upload, attach, copy-paste... this document any other way to my blog. Please click on this link and it will take you to my Action Research Plan (on google.docs). If it appears too small, simply click on the "+" over in the right hand side column, then click on the document and "ta-da". Thank you for taking a look at my blog.

I love GoogleDocs. Thanks for the comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that RTI has been a 3 letter word to me until I was the one responsible for its implementation. I will be interested to see the results as I actually think I will be able to do the research this year.
I have been actively involved in testing students in a small group setting. I have been unfamiliar with the students prior to the testing and had never seen them in class. I had no comparative data to gauge the success or non-success of the small group setting. I will be interested to hear see the results of your research. I see that you will be using interviews which is something that I went to once I talked with my administrator. I believe this method of gathering data is necessary. The district is placing a focus on student learning this year. I believe that interviewing them would give valuable data.
Wow, you have done an awesome job on this plan. I had to really dig deep to find a place where a question arose for me. But after reading over it several times (I am a rereader!), I have a thought! On page three in the outcomes column, you describe "Gathering data necessary to determine increase or decrease in the number of students..." I was thinking maybe you could include somthing like " Review data and based on student success increase or decrease......", because you will be looking for students that are successful in small group, not just status quo.... just a thought. Hope this makes sense.....you have a great study planned, and I look forward to seeing the results! Hope my comments helped!
